ESL / Migrant Coordinator Migrant Teacher
Small group reading instruction
Hi, My name is Elizabeth Birkhofer. I am a lifelong learner of Shelby Public Schools. I first started with Shelby as a preschool student and eventually graduated from Shelby High School. I knew at a very early age that I was going to come back someday and become a teacher at Shelby. After many years of substitute teaching, teaching preschool, and working in the summer school program; I was able to reach my goal of becoming a full-time teacher in my home district last year. This year I have also taken on the roles of ESL and Migrant Coordinator for the district. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors camping, kayaking, and riding snowmobiles depending on the season.
